Two things are happening in my life that I never thought would happen (at least not at 26 years old): (1) I am pregnant, and (2) I am blogging. But I've decided that since No. 1 is happening no matter what, I'll write a blog to keep family and friends up-to-date on how things are going for the Sport family.
Today, I am approximately 15 weeks and 3 days pregnant. Feeling sick has started to pass, and my appetite has defintely started to pick up. Although I am still pretty tired, I've falled victim to "pregnancy insonmia." I wake up every morning at 4 a.m. unable to go back to sleep. YUCK! Not getting my usual 9-11 hours a night is really starting to make me cranky. Otherwise, I feel pretty good. I've gain a total of 5lbs (don't ask me how that is possible), and this week my tummy has really started to grow. I have a pretty good feeling, based on the rather short legnth of my torso, this is baby is going to live right underneath my boobs for the next 5 months. I guess he/she really has no choice.
I don't have another doctor's appointment until March 3. YAY! I've started to feel like I'm there every single week. March 3 is a big day, too, because we have our "gender" ultrasound. There is a small part of me that wants to keep it a surprise, but there is a much bigger part of me that wants to plan/decorate a nursery. I've already picked out some cribs, and I can't wait to pick out fabrics for the bumper and crib sheet. I have a fairly good idea of my colors for a boy's room, but I'm clueless (other than pink) as to what to do for a girl. If anyone has any good suggestions or pictures, please pass them my way. I have a feeling this baby is a girl, so I better get ready to decorate accordingly.
Well, that's pretty much it for now. I'll try to post again soon!

I vote for a gangsta-theme room. Decorations are cheap, it works for boys and girls, and I think Nugget will really like it.
ReplyDeleteI second that! And he/she is going to need one of these to go along with it. Well, it kinda goes along with it. Whatever. You need one for Nugget. http://www.gizmodiva.com/entry_images/0407/21/baby_caps.jpg

ReplyDeleteWhen did Abby learn to type? I know Mom didn't teach her since she still can't send an email.
