Yesterday was Liam's three month birthday. Although I didn't get to spend this big day with him because he is in Louisiana with Emme and Popi, I have this video to show off his big accomplishment!
Enjoy!

Easy Like Sunday (and Saturday) Morning
This weekend was the first weekend in 5 weeks that the three of us have been able to spend time together at home. It was a good weekend :)
My friend, Ashley, and her boyfriend, Tim, came to visit for a couple of hours on Saturday. In a total of 3 hours, Ashley and I managed to get kicked out of the ABC store (that's Alabama's liquor store) because Ashley forgot her I.D. and the troll clerk wouldn't sell to me because I was apparently trying to buy Jim Bean Black minis for minors, and we also somehow spent $34.00 at Zaxby's (what?????), which is a drive-through chicken place. In any event, we had fun. I wish I had taken some pictures of Ashley and Liam, but I ALWAYS forget to take pictures at the best moments! Here is what I have from Saturday.
On Sunday, Dow, Liam and I spent a lazy morning together all by ourselves before we met Emme and GiGi (that is Coo Coo) in Meridian, Mississippi for the grandbaby drop-off. Here is the extent of that morning:

Liam is at Emme's house for the rest of the week, and it's been MUCH harder than I expected. I miss him! Can't wait for Saturday when I get to pick him up!

Dear Rebecca,
Here is a little something you have to look forward to when Baby Ledet arrives.

Yes, my friends, that is Liam, in our bathtub, covered with vomit. Apparently, I was not informed that tonight was "Vomit Night." The projectile vomit episodes have hit our house several times, but since Liam has been eating rice cereal, they rarely strike. Tonight was different.
Dow was at work, so I had Liam to myself after Julie, our wonderful nanny (more to come in a later post), went home. I put his jammies on per our nightly ritual of "getting ready for bed time," and at about 7, I fed him about 5 ounces. We watched our Law and Order episode, and at 8, I decided to top Liam off with about one more ounce before I put him down at 8:30. I had the bottle in his mouth for maybe 30 seconds when the first vomit strike hit. It was all over him, all over the floor, and all over me. While I was trying to get up and move him into the bathroom, the second strike hit. Now, vomit was all over me, Liam, the couch, our blanket, Otis, the floor and the coffee table. YUCK! I promptly moved Liam into the bathtub in case strike three hit (which it didn't, thank goodness), while I got out his bathtub. I should note that during the entire vomit episode, he never cried. Actually, he's never cried during these projectile vomit episodes. He just vomits and keeps on playing.
I got him cleaned up with a nice warm bath and new jammies, but the washing will be an undertaking tomorrow. I love Liam, particularly this age, but I do NOT love projectile vomit!
So Rebecca, you better get your vomit shoes on come March!

Who's That Cute Baby?
Please excuse the quality. We have to export the videos on a very low quality in order for them to download in a reasonable amount of time, i.e., not 2 days.
Enjoy!

Tear....tear.....
This week I said good-bye to Liam's newborn onesies. It was a bittersweet milestone in his life. I have to admit, I didn't put them "all" the way up. They are actually on the top shelf in his closet (still in view), but not in his drawers. Baby steps, Morgan....

On the bright side, saying farewell to newborn onesies meant saying hello to way cuter clothes! Liam was so small when he was born that all he could wear were day gowns and newborn onesies. In fact, we were going through so many newborn onesies we had to buy several more. However, I found it VERY difficult to find cute newborn onesies (or onesies in general) that don't have silly sayings on them. Don't get me wrong, I like a funny onesie every once in a while. But day after day of "Dog Gone Cute" or "Mommy Loves Me" was starting to annoy me. Now that he is bigger, we can FINALLY wear our smocked stuff, which is my favorite (and, therefore, Liam's favorite by default).

We also broke out our Bumbo this week. I never realized just how small he is until I put him in his Bumbo. He looked so cute, I cried (just a little).
