My Little Angel

My little angel is asleep in his bed. He has been so good today. He slept from 9:30last night until 6:30 this morning. It was AMAZING! I hope it wasn't a fluke.

Date Day!

Yesterday Cheryl and Heather came to Birmingham to visit Liam. This gave Dow and I a much needed chance to get out on our own. We went to see The Hangover (about 2 months late), and we had a nice dinner at California Pizza Kitchen. All in all it was a good afternoon.

I'd like to do it again sometime.

Three Week Check-Up

Today we had our three week check-up with Dr. Simpson. Liam now weighs 8 lbs 5 oz and is 21.2 inches long. He's around the 45% percentile for his weight and about the 70% percentile for his height. He's growing like a weed!

Our next goal is to phase out the 2 a.m. feeding. Wish us luck!

Trip to Bastrop

Yesterday we returned from our trip to Bastrop. We had so much fun! Liam got to meet Coo Coo along with several of our Bastrop friends. He got a bunch of adorable presents, and he was definitely spoiled by his Emmy and Coo Coo! I think he misses them :( But don't worry, Liam, we will be back soon!

Today we tried out our new swing for the first time. Liam loves it! He is sleeping/swinging right now.

Tomorrow we have our first well baby appointment. I will update with our numbers.

Adventures Outside!

I have found that Liam loves his carseat (praise Jesus). He is definitely a baby that is put to sleep by car rides. We've also found that he loves going on walks in his stroller. So when we want to get him to sleep without driving around, we go for a walk. He are some pics of our adventures outside.




On a side note, I think his hair is turning red.

So Far.......

We are approaching Liam's two week birthday, and there are definitely a couple of things I have learned so far about being a mom. Here are the top 6 so far:

1. It is impossible not to get Destin EVERYWHERE.

2. Video monitors and the ultimate crib sheet are gifts from God.

3. I can't stand having my baby cry.

4. I wake up in the middle of the night at the exact time he starts crying without even having the monitor on or hearing him.

5. Don't plan on 1 onesie a day. Make it about 3 at a minimum.

6. Getting everyone out of the house (and looking decent) takes at least 2 hours.
